Reliability Engineer with Security Clearance

STS International, an innovative systems engineering, integration, and sustainment services firm, is seeking individuals to support the proactive, preventive, reactive, and predictive maintenance and repair of assets for STS? programs. Long term strategic planning and proactive monitoring programs are essential to asset availability and reliability. STS is seeking a Reliability Engineer who is experienced, motivated, the active leader in the planning, development, and implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance programs. This position will be located in our Berkley Springs headquarters office. All candidates must be in the local commuting area of this office or be willing to relocate at his/her expense. Position Roles and Responsibilities: Applies high level of proficiency in use of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Failure Reporting Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) processes in the development of products and implementation of proactive maintenance solutions. Applies high level of proficiency in the understanding of complex systems, subsystems and components breakdown along with identifying critical components. Serve as the lead Reliability Engineer in support of STS product engineering and EAM sustainment services. Closely coordinates with technicians, engineers, and customers to enable development of innovative reliability issue solutions Set strategic direction for reliability engineering services processes and procedures Leads FMEA and FRACAS working groups and provides reports and recommendations Serve as the RCM subject matter expert and mentor support groups associated with product engineering and asset management services. Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and a drive to improve existing systems and processes. Thorough understanding of the application of reliability engineering as a part of the overall systems engineering process and Reliability Center Maintenance (RCM) and the associated standard SAE JA1011 and its guideline JA1012 Develop and implement best-in-class work processes to ensure compliance with standard SAE JA1011 and its guideline JA1012 and results in availability >90%. Develop and document evaluation plans for equipment to identify probable failure modes through applicable inspection techniques. Develop and implement a simple yet robust communication plan for FRACAS, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), inspections, RCA and FMEA findings and necessary funding requirements to execute. Assist with the design and development of a dashboard view of asset health for critical equipment, along with a capital plan for replacements. Implement productivity improvements for data collection and analysis, management of recommendations and software/CMMS usage. Perform failure data analysis to identify high failure items Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis and Problem Identification. Conduct and manage FMEA and FRACAS implementations for complex systems. Focus on trouble shooting and identifying asset issues and recommend resolutions through providing daily support to operations and maintenance on assets and associated systems. Develop and implement job plans and work procedures for maintenance technicians and operations to ensure reliable repair and operation of assets to include resourcing for labor, materials, tools, facilities and outside services. Solve high priority reliability issues by focusing on discipline-specific reliability improvements. May perform other duties as assigned. Minimum/General Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience with complex systems (integrated vehicular x-ray security systems, radars, security sensors, power generation and conditioning, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) environmental control systems, wired and wireless communications networking, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) actuator, motion controllers and motors, ruggedized computer systems and software) and design, development, testing, and sustainment, with three to five years of direct systems experience. Solid interpersonal, facilitation and organizational skills with excellent verbal and written communication capabilities. Strong quantitative, analytical and excellent computer skills are required. This includes sound proficiency in statistical analysis, database management software, Microsoft Office products. Experience with Maximo and associated report creation software such as Cognos is preferred. Experience with SAS and associated reliability software preferred. Active DOD Secret Clearance Desired Certification: Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar Reliability Certification Licensed Professional Engineer
