What You Will Do:
The LPN role focuses on preventive healthcare, health promotion, and health restoration within the context of a safe and healthy work environment. The LPN performs routine patient and provider needs which include, but are not limited to: Obtaining vital signs, awareness of abnormalities and notifies appropriate parties, educate customers on their health care needs, prioritize phone calls and limited medication administration. The LPN must be competent in computer skills and use of software applications related to Occupational Health. Maintains safe environment and reports any problems, supports the VH Mission Statement, new policies and procedures, and assist when requested in Performance Improvement studies. Standards of Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing include Assessment, Outcome Identification, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, Resource Management, Professional Development, Collaboration, Research and the use of an ethical framework for decision-making. Through proper assessment, application of current standards, adequate review and follow-up, the OHN assists employees in the prevention of adverse health effects from occupational and environmental hazards and health promotion in general.
What You Will Bring:

Licensed Practical Nurse
Experience
3 Years LPN experience preferred Clinical experience and comprehensive knowledge of infection control and occupational health principles and standards required.
Certification & Licensures
LPN License required
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved
Valid Driver's License required
Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia with multi-state privileges. New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
